Primary Purpose: 

Provide a full-spectrum HR business partnership to all employees in scope, with the objective of achieving the long-term strategic goals of the BUs and the HR function.

 

Scope of the role:

  • Coach Hong Kong & Macau Retail team, ~200 employees (Stores)
  • Tapestry Hong Kong office ~50 employees (Corporate)

Business Partnership

  • Partner closely with BU Leadership Teams to fully comprehend business needs and ensure HR goals and action plans are clear and consistent with the BU’s strategic vision
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders built on business knowledge, HR expertise, integrity, respect and trust to ensure HR has a respected voice in the BU
  • Participate in the creation and drive the execution of HR action plans each year, with high standards for timely and high-quality deliverables, and for impact on the business
  • Develop solid relationships with key HR stakeholders, and actively cooperate with HR COE in Asia to develop and implement a compelling HR strategy for the BU

 

Employee Relations

  • Partner with the Leadership Team to create a motivating, supportive and productive work environment for all levels, grounded on Tapestry/Coach Narrative (Purpose & Values)
  • Provide coaching and counseling to all employees to ensure an outstanding employee experience is shared among all employees; collaborate with Legal Counsel and to address sensitive issues
  • Build a strong connection between Corporate and Retail employees, acting as facilitator between these two groups of employees to maximize cohesiveness and cooperation
  • Maintain positive employee relations environment; foster a culture based on service and teamwork at all levels in the organization

 

Performance Management

  • Own the coordination of the annual performance management process and lead the formulation / execution of development plans actions for key talents and key position holders
  • Partner with the key BU leaders to execute salary increase process on time and on budget; build compelling business cases to outline and quantify requests for additional funding as required
  • Own the yearly and quarterly compensation planning process, partnering with Tapestry Finance Team to ensure the submitted information are 100% accurate
  • Own the Talent Management process, at Corporate and Retail level, to identify and actively build plans to retain key talents; build long term succession plans for key positions

 

Talent Acquisition

  • Be the brand ambassador, represents the company at its best, be a role model and constantly strive to communicate the best image of Tapestry/Coach to the market
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition (TA) Team to recruit for all vacant corporate positions for both BUs; actively build talent pipelines through networking
  • Partner with the Retail Management Team and TA for store staff hiring, working on innovative sourcing strategies for Coach to become an employer of choice in Hong Kong and Macau
  • Build strong individual connection with the corporate and retail staff, to stay alert on their needs. Constantly survey the market to ensure Tapestry/Coach keeps a competitive employer proposition

 

Organizational Development & Change Management

  • Partner with Retail Management to ensure the right level of staffing is achieved in stores and maximize labor KPIs, part-time use and make sure payroll % is achieved
  • Partner with Tapestry Asia People & Organization Development and Retail Training & Development Teams to plan and implement training initiatives focused on the growth of team members
  • Partner with Asia Total Rewards Team to build a compelling economic proposition for all employee levels to ensure high level of market competitiveness and attract / retain key talents
  • Partner with the BU leaders and GC HR Director to critically review the organizational asset of the BU, and propose changes to meet the ever-changing business needs and achieve the BU vision
  • Create local action plans to address and facilitates change and transition management initiatives

 

Special Projects

  • Participate / lead HR projects (HRIS implementation, Job Architecture, Employee Survey, etc.)    
  • Participate / lead cross-functional projects and initiatives with wide organizational impact (e.g., community outreach programs, reward & recognition programs, company & employee engagement events planning)

The chosen individual will possess

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years’ experience in Human Resources field. A previous significant experience in Retail / Service-related industry is highly preferred
  • Proven experience delivering client focused HR solutions to business problems
  • Solid business acumen and willingness to understand / improve business KPIs
  • A strong passion for Retail / Service industry
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others at all levels
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to generate innovative solutions and deliver with excellence
  • Conceptual thinking with the ability to translate ideas into workable solutions
  • Creative problem solving with strong business acumen
