Primary Purpose
Technically accountable throughout the stages of product development and commercialization to ensure that our product is properly constructed to interpret Coach’s Design intent and consequently manufactured to Coach’s high quality standards.

- Participate in milestone DC review. Address construction concerns, follow up on mockup making in sample room. Ensure mockups match design and construction intent.
- Provide engineering support for mockup reviews. Offer comments and collaborate with sample room on specific constructions for hand feel. Determine filler usage…
- Clarify construction issues for NY team when needed. Contribute and propose when needed.
- Track milestone sample proceedings. Ensure sample construction aligns with review comments. Adjust and record for next rounds.
- Build and follow up on initial Best Practices for specific constructions until commercialization. Share with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with PD to review PA samples when there are construction difficulties or need for engineering knowledge.
- Analyze store claims and find root cause and provide guidance for SPs.
- Support outsourcing applications when PD team has supplier difficulties. Assess machine limitations and inform PD team.
- Review new materials. Provide opinions/concerns based on experience. Review material performance during sample making and recap concerns to PD team.
- Collaborate with HW team on new developments. Provide usage info, review blueprints, offer relevant thickness details, ensure proper fit. Test HW functionality and assembly.
- Review test results with PD managers. Manage product testing results on development samples. Provide solutions for failures and share with relevant teams.
- Check and adjust patterns for development milestones. Archive final patterns and ensure match PA samples and meet our COH pattern format standards.
