The Primary Purpose: The Buyer, Womenswear will support the strategic and operational execution of creating winning product assortments to drive and optimise seasonal investment and in-season reorder opportunities for Coach New York and Coach 1941; Leather Goods, Accessories and Coach Create. Reports to Senior Buying Manager, Coach Europe Wholesale and Coach International.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in multi category selection buying to own and support the following tasks:

 

  • Create an ever improving, aligned regional assortment for all Womenswear categories through the process of identifying seasonal product opportunities and regional exclusives to create relevant store packages in line with the wholesale buying strategies and OTB guidance
  • Assist in executing market weeks in Paris, London and New York, Line Launch presentations, customer meetings and consolidating feedback
  • Post Market Hindsight’s for relative departments to document product and process learnings
  • Produce weekly analysis of regional sales trends compared to direct BU’s and highlight any missed opportunities
  • Responsible for line sheet creation for all womenswear categories; system updates, sales tool preparation ensuring that the teams have all tools necessary at the start of and throughout market
  • Identify regional product opportunities through market and customer visits in partnership with the regional sales teams, providing consolidated feedback to share with the teams
  • Produce the womenswear seasonal GTM decks ensuring all relevant information is provided to the regional sales teams
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Sku changes / Adds / Drops are captured, Pre, during and Post market and communicated accordingly
  • Communicate clearly to wholesale ops post market: Marketing Skus, regional exclusives, pull forwards etc
  • Provide buying guidance for ATS, DCR chases, Margin Enhanced and Clearance assortments for respective departments
  • Build relationships with the regional sales teams in London, New York, Hong Kong, Seoul and Singapore
  • Produce seasonal competitor analysis to identify and share market trends to inform seasonal SPO’s
  • Produce departmental feedback for internal weekly and monthly business reviews
  • Provide accurate and on time feedback at all times
  • Develop, mentor and manage high performing team of direct reports

 

 

 

 

 

The accomplished individual will possess the following experience:

  • Minimum 5 years selection buying and merchandising experience, including Wholesale
  • Numerate with clear command of the key financial factors for driving business
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel and retail planning systems
  • Multi-category experience highly desired
  • Team management experience a must
  • Knowledge of the fashion or accessories luxury goods market
  • Experience of working with a global company/brand
  • Experience in the European and International markets
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to build effective global partnerships and interact successfully with diverse individuals at all levels
  • Creative problem solving and strategic thinking skills with strong business acumen
