Primary Purpose: The Buying Administration Assistant will join the Coach Outlet Buying team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support women’s leathergoods and accessories categories with in-season performance and pre-season buy strategies across Outlet Stores, Ecommerce & Wholesale channels.

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Buying to:

  • Support the Outlet Buying team with preparation of weekly and monthly trade, seasonal buy reviews, hindsight meetings, and management of seasonal milestone calendar
  • Support upcoming weekly price changes and promotions and present in weekly trade meetings where relevant. Update and prepare weekly communications on key price changes to ensure VM & Stores have the necessary information to action. Support pricing actions and recommendations by maintaining accurate pricing master files
  • Support the Outlet Buyer with the strategic and operational execution of product investment for women’s accessories product categories, driving in-season category performance against sales and margin targets for stores across the region
  • Assist the seasonal buy process to ensure cohesive investments are reflective of regional price, match backs and silhouette/functionality specific to regional performance
  • Contribute to outlet buying strategies through product selections and door assortments
  • Analyse and interpret product performance, customer feedback, consumer trends, competitive landscape and local market knowledge to share with Global Merchandising  
  • Load buys at SKU level and maintain accurate SKU plans for trade and buying analysis
  • Partner with the Inventory Management team to review on hand inventory and drive activities to facilitate meeting targets and proposing actions
  • Contribute to Marketplace & Wholesale go-to-market assets and line lists for Outlet doors in region

 

The accomplished individual will possess:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in buying or merchandising in a fast paced, retail environment
  • Experience in outlet is desirable, including knowledge of discount pricing models and seasonal stock strategies
  • Strong Excel skills are essential (e.g. VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF etc)
  • Proficiency in building reports, analysing data and retail math
  • Ability to learn new systems or prior experience with SAP/RPAS/MicroStrategy/CORA
  • Strong communication skills, highly organised and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners
  • Ability to think logically, problem-solve and provide recommendations through analysis
