Purpose of Role:


The Retail Communications Coordinator is an integral member of the Retail Operations team, supporting the Communications and CEX Manager in ensuring that all retail communications are effective, engaging and relevant through strong cross-functional collaboration and innovation. They will act as the stores gatekeeper to ensure that workload is balanced in line with business priorities and trade. They will also play a key role in supporting the communications technology experience in stores, as well as driving new initiatives.

  • Support the Retail Communications & Customer experience manager to develop & implement the Retail Communications strategy across all European stores. Bring own ideas and initiatives to support in streamlining and improving communication to and from stores
  • Bring new ideas for how to improve communication flow and tools by looking externally and attending retail events and competitor stores
  • Act as the gatekeeper for communications and tasking to all European stores, gain feedback from Stores/ Area managers consistently to ensure all tasks are managed through the communications team
  • Evolve the store iPad programme, digitilise communication where appropriate
  • Support in development and execution of the store shared drive initiative, allowing stores to access all key documents and information in one location at any time
  • Support in creating Retail incentives that will support engagement and drive conversion
  • Develop the weekly communications cycle to stores, streamline where possible to support store productivity
  • Support in the design, operation and content management of the Coach internal communications application
  • Support Communications and CEX Manager in the planning and execution of the annual store manager conferences
  • Manage the  Retail communications calendar, ensuring tasks are not impacting on key Retail events or trading days
  • Develop tools and resources to drive preparation, sales and engagement during peak trading periods
  • Budget management of all communications costs including PO creation and approval
  • Collaborate extensively with cross-functional partners and peers across European and Global offices


The accomplished individual will possess…

  • At least 2 years experience in Retail with a full understanding for both store and customer needs
  • Strong communication skills for partnering with stores, corporate partners and external vendors
  • A creative and inquisitive nature that will challenge the norm and share ideas in a proactive way
  • The skills to be able to adapt to the changing demands of the business
  • The ability to learn on the fly and take own initiative
  • Be open to giving and receiving feedback to ensure continuous growth and development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel when necessary


An outstanding professional may also have…

  • Experience in a digital / customer experience development role
  • Omni channel process background
  • Experience in Marketing or Creative design
  • European language skills
