LEATHER SPECIALIST
PROFILE
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Sales and Craftsmanship to:
- Own and drive leather and customization services in store—in partnership with Store Manager
- Execute craftsmanship/customization services (e.g., current and future advanced services) in store with highest level of quality and in timely manner
- Demonstrate key craftsmanship techniques at events, e.g., making hangtags, tea roses, etc. (including cutting, gluing, studding, riveting, edge-painting, etc.)
- Host customers at the Craftsmanship Bar, both on own and in partnership with colleagues
- Leverage Coach services to deliver an elevated and authentic Modern Luxury customer experience; romance leather, quality and craftsmanship and convert on services
- Develop and maintain strong product knowledge skills with ability to engage, romance and convert on current collections
- Cascade and drive new initiatives/services with team; train new team members on core services
- Track and follow up on services results; action learning and opportunities
- Provide reporting/feedback to corporate as needed
- Achieve and exceed sales and service goals through Modern Luxury hosting, Coach services and clienteling (developing and maintaining productive long-term customer relationships)
- Support an environment of teamwork, trust and collaboration with peers, customers and supervisors
The accomplished individual will possess:
- 3-5 years of selling experience in a luxury retail environment or similar; has developed a clientele and uses their client book to achieve individual sales goals; proven ability to create strategies and delivers results
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Knowledge of cash register systems, basic computer skills (including the ability to use iPad/laptop, Mobile POS and Internet)
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team (both oral and written), maneuver sales floor and meet moderate stockroom lifting and store climbing requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including nights, weekends and holidays
Candidate profile (Nomination Criteria):
- Available to work 30+ hours (PT1 and above)
- Expert in leather services including monogramming (incl. SLGs, bags), leather care, repair services
- Self-directed and results driven; consistently achieves/exceeds individual sales and service goals
- Exemplifies the Modern luxury host and is skilled in the ML Hosting Ceremony; good standing on Coach Journey
- Possesses high degree of manual dexterity, good design sensibility (e.g., proportion, balance), and exceptional attention to detail
- Is consistently polished in personal presentation and communication
- Customer-focused, team player, committed to the brand
