The Primary Purpose:
The Planner, Inventory Management will be an integral member of the Europe Inventory management team supporting our Direct business by managing Monthly OTB process in partnership with Buying, Finance and Allocation partners. This will be a key role in supporting the teams, drive the performance against sales and margin targets, maximizing pre- and in-season inventory and channel-level opportunities. Reports to the Inventory Manager, Coach Europe.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Inventory Management and will:

  • Manage the detailed Coach Europe Retail Business Unit (BU) level OTB plan based on top-down guidance provided. This includes sales, gross margin, receipts, inventory and WOH targets at department/class level.
  • Lead regular Channel and Department business performance analysis and reporting to drive business on a weekly/monthly basis and to support monthly SMI activities and Business review.
  • Continuously analyze inventory in Stores and European Distribution Center to drive Coach Europe stock efficiencies, including management of Aged, Excess, Full price deletes and Clearance Inventories in partnership with Buying and Allocation partners.
  • Initiate and manage all inventory transfers via SAP S/4 in partnership with Buying/Allocation team.
  • Support transfer to goods (STO’s) from other DC’s to drive business and maintain ideal W.O.H targets.
  • Provide Global Inventory partners in New York with key financial information.
  • Update & distribute monthly logistics summary for the European DC.
  • Update internal planning system on monthly basis to reflect the latest inventory levels
  • Support and partner with the wider Buying, Inventory Management & Allocation team as and when required.


The accomplished individual will possess…

  • University Degree
  • Minimum 2-4 years Merchandise Planning and Inventory management experience
  • Strong Academic background
  • Experience in a Retail company
  • Very good English proficiency (crucial)
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel required (v-lookups, pivot tables, complex formulas, etc.)
  • Organized, analytical and with very strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic in working towards achieving team objectives and goals
