Primary Purpose…

 

Reporting to the Pricing and Promotion Analyst you will support the strategy and decision making regarding pricing, discount rates and promotions for Coach Europe’s Outlet Business.  The role will support in partnering with Buying Managers of each channel and the Senior Director of Buying to ensure a clear understanding of the impact of pricing decisions on both sales and margin, and to help generate recommendations to maximize both metrics within agreed discount rates.   This role is also responsible for the execution of pricing decisions and supporting all key stakeholders in ensuring seamless implementation.

 

Key Responsibilities…

 

  • Provide key support in partnering with the Buying leadership team to develop pricing and promotion strategies to drive key KPI of sales, inventory, AUR, discount rate and margin to meet or exceed company objectives.
  • Attend (when possible) and support in the preparation for bi-weekly meetings with Marketing to ensure centre events are supported with appropriate promotion, communicated and signed off and executed in a timely and accurate manner to ensure inclusion in relevant centres Marketing.
  • Under the guidance of your line manager, action weekly system price changes for all product areas by partnering with relevant Buying Managers and owning weekly approval process.
  • Ensure upcoming weekly price changes and promotions are ready to be presented in weekly trade meetings where relevant, and having supporting data to validate.
  • Ensure price and promotions are clearly communicated to the stores through the weekly transmittal process, in partnership with Buying, the Retail Operations team, and producing exclusion lists.
  • Support with the analysis for price and promotional decision making and provide data for recommendations to line manager and the Buying leadership team. Key metrics include discount rate, gross margin, $ / traffic, AUR. 
  • Provide all necessary weekly / monthly upcoming promotional events to line manager and Outlet Buying Managers.
  • Co-ordinate and support in the communication of pricing strategy for the clearance period, being aware of market restrictions within agreed timeframes.
  • Share with VM upcoming key promotions on a weekly / monthly and quarterly view to ensure they have the necessary information to provide in store signage and VM guidelines to support promotions.
  • Maintain accurate pricing master files for Outlet and action all system changes to activate price changes and promotions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Partner with line manager to ensure all pricing is accurate in our systems (SAP)
  • Maintain tracking logs and approvals for auditing purposes – accountable for setting up weekly price approvals and actioning within agreed timeframe
  • Liaise with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure price labeling is executed effectively.
  • Own and maintain promotional calendar for CE Outlet – to form part of key weekly / quarterly discussions and trading decisions. Attending (where possible) the monthly Area Manager calls to understand local market needs around promotional / store events.

 

The candidate would possess…

 

  • Strong Excel skills with demonstrated proficiency in building reports and analytical tools (V-lookups, pivot tables, sumif, etc)
  • Prior use of SAP, Microstrategy would be advantageous
  • Ability to think logically, problem solve and provide recommendations through analysis
  • Demonstrate proficiency in retail math
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, retail environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with cross-functional
