The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in merchandise planning to…. 

  • Support the investment of OTB ‘dollars’ to meet financial targets for the Outlet channel by determining SKU depth within global assortment
  • Drive performance against sales and margin targets; maximize in-season opportunities and affect future inventory
  • Assist with door profiling, including optimal store content and network distribution by category and gender;  within global guidelines, ensure accuracy for functional partners
  • Analyze and interpret product performance, customer feedback, consumer trends, competitive landscape and local market knowledge to global merchandising/design
  • Support store animation initiatives focused on investments and market specificities (peak trading periods, holidays, store openings) through training, store support, VM, product flow, customer outreach
  • Alongside the Senior Manager Buying, align with Global Merchandising to ensure global nature of assortment (i.e., assortment includes products needed to fit trends/differences of market)
  • Partner with local Inventory Management to revisit OTB allocations when season sales deviate from sales plan and make changes to OTB assignment when required, develop smart pricing recommendations
  • In partnership with local Inventory Management team, understand existing business risks and opportunities regarding product investments and inventory
  • Partner with marketing to support effective marketing plan aligned with investment
  • Work with VM to plan in store realization of product strategy, zoning, new store profiles
  • With assistance from the Senior Manager Buying, liaise with customer experience, helping to support store teams to execute product strategy
  • Manage ‘Essentials’ stock position, ensuring a never out of stock model is delivered
  • Partner with Allocations team to ensure optimal store stocks are maintained in line with upcoming promotional strategy / key trading periods
  • Deputise for Buying Manager in their absence
  • Increase knowledge of product, consumer and competition in local market



The accomplished individual will possess the following experience:

  • Minimum 3-4 years buying and merchandising experience
  • Multi-category experience highly desired in a planning environment
  • Numerate with strong analytical skills and financial acumen; operates with clear command of the key financial drivers in driving a business
  • Experience overseeing and guiding product allocation
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel and retail planning systems
  • Knowledge of the fashion or accessories luxury goods market
  • Experience of working with a global company/brand
  • Experience supporting the European market
