Primary Purpose: The Merchandising Assistant will act as a key member of the Men’s Merchandising Outlet team, supporting the continued growth of Coach's global business. The position will report to the Merchandising Manager with a focus on Outlet Bags

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Merchandising to...

  • Manage and maintain all systemic style creation and attribute managment in order to drive the line planning and development process
  • Act as liaison to all facets of the business including Product Development, Design, Global Planning, Visual Merchandising and Creative Services to ensure deliverables and product lifecycle calendar deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate closely with Design through the entire conceptual and commercialization process
  •  Analyze all weekly, monthly, quarterly sales reports. Recap weekly to merchandising manager and propose action steps. Present the information and conclusions drawn in weekly business review meetings that include Senior Management, and incorporate any relevant findings to impact line planning.
  • Partner with Merchandise Planning for additional analysis and reporting where needed.
  • Shop the market to stay abreast of trends. Compile competitive shopping analysis and present relevant conclusions. Incorporate findings to impact future product line development and continue to push the business forward.

An outstanding professional will have...

  • BA or BS degree required
  • 1-2 years of buying /merchandising experience in a related business or brand
  • Strong analytical skills and comprehensive understanding of retail math
