Job Title: Assistant Buyer, Men’s Leathergoods

 

Primary Purpose:

 

Strategic, operational Omni-channel Assistant Buyer for North America Retail Buying, Men’s Leathergoods

 

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in buying to...

  • Assist in running weekly, monthly, and quarterly selling reports to recap and analyze business, making recommendations for driving improved performance and identifying opportunities.
  • Manage SKU lifecycle from adoption to deletion, react to in season sales/learnings to determine go forward strategy and actions
  • Partner with the Buying Manager to manage OTB and meet financial targets/productivity metrics at the SKU level for performance, sales, inventory, receipt and margin
  • Assist in executing quarterly buys, meeting financial targets and assorting global offer for North America Men’s Leathergoods category
    • Influence men’s leathergoods assortments by analyzing product performance, customer feedback/data, GenZ & consumer trends, competitive landscape and local market knowledge
    • Build and maintain assortment tools and sku counts each season
  • Analyze and reforecast business and implement strategies to ensure weekly/monthly/quarterly plan is achieved, including adjusting product flow and inventory management
  • Influence Global Merchandising men’s leathergoods assortment to advocate for North America customer needs
  • Assist in working with Allocation partners to ensure that distributions meet turn goals, support marketing calendar and maximize profitability, own weekly meetings
  • Assist in partnering with Ecommerce Merchandising, Marketing, Product Knowledge, Visual Merchandising and Store Operations teams to create synergies among all consumer touch points
  • Partner with field team to solicit qualitative feedback on product, customers, store environments & competition
  • Own select monthly/weekly team tasks and processes; collaborates across the team, making adjustments to support the needs of the team and the business  

 

The accomplished individual will possess...

 

  • B.A. or B.S. preferred
  • 1-2 years of Buying and/or Planning experience required
  • Strong analytical and recapping skills
  • Solid time management and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated and diligent in completing and initiating tasks
  • Detail oriented, organized, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a focus on collaboration
  • Highly skilled in Excel and proficient learner of planning and buying systems
  • Understanding of retail math
  • Curiosity about the customer and the business
  • A drive to question the status quo
