Cad Associate, Design Technology - Visual Experience – New York, NY

We are looking for a talented Associate Cad Designer with a diverse portfolio demonstrating mastery of craft. Your demonstrated skillset will span multiple development milestones; drawing upon your design talent and technical skills to create visual assets that support the Design process cross-functionally. As member of the Design Technology team, you'll join a diverse, multidisciplinary team that supports the design process cross-functionally from both a creative and technology perspective. This position will report to the Director, Design Technology.

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to…

  • Create, preserve, and share seasonal design assets (color palettes, textures, brushes, symbols, and sketches) for use in visual tools & applications
  • Manage cross functional tools spanning multiple product categories
  • Work pro-actively according to the PDT calendar to stay ahead of timelines
  • Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Visual Merchandising, Digital, Creative Services, Global Merchandising, and Business Units to build an integrated working relationship
  • Serve as a resource across Coach’s creative teams, sharing your Adobe expertise and passion for technology
  • Build and maintain an organized file management system
  • Render photo realistic 3D models for use in the virtual showroom and other 3D workstreams  
  • Partner with colleagues across Visual Experience to further develop 3D initiatives and workflows
  • Quickly learn our processes and workflows—and then improve upon them!

An outstanding professional will have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital design, fashion design, textile design, graphic design, or related field
  • 2 - 4  years’ experience in a related field
  • Experience working for a retail/fashion brand is a plus
  • Understanding of Apparel, Accessories and/or Footwear Design process
  • Highly skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite – Specifically Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge, Acrobat, and InDesign
  • Exposure to 3D design - rendering and/or modeling. Adobe’s Substance Painter and Stager a plus
  • Thorough understanding of file processing, color profiles, calibration, and industry-standard/best practices
  • Desire to continuously learn and grow as an artist, with new tools and natural curiosity
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize workflows
  • Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A passion for cutting edge technology & design
