Design Associate, Special Projects & Collaborations

Primary Purpose: The Design Associate, Special Projects, Collaborations & Lifestyle will partner closely with the Design team to develop and design product for special projects and collaborations that support unique merchandising, brand and marketing needs. The Design Associate will collaborate on concepts each season that are fashion driven and reflective of the creative vision and Coach aesthetic. You will be a part of a dynamic, creative environment where you will collaborate with talented designers and cross-functional partners in the business.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Design to…

  • Design for all special projects including but not limited to pop-up shops, events, and collaborations.
  • Partner with senior design leadership to create strong concepts and storytelling through color, material and seasonal innovation.
  • Research trends, platforms and silhouettes
  • Sketch CADS using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Maintain department timeline adherence, ensuring all designs deliver to meet key milestones and calendar dates.
  • Responsible for upholding design integrity, high quality execution, and brand vision from concept through commercialization.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sourcing, Product Development, Vendors, Public Relations, Creative, Production & Logistics, Legal, and Customer Experience to align with business strategy.

  • Technical ability to spec and pass design cards working in AI

An outstanding professional will have…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of leather goods experience in a luxury brand
  • Strong reference points coming from interest in art, photo and design
  • Understanding of materials, hardware, leather, and construction.
