Job Description: Manager, Soft Accessories (Design & Development)

Job Level: Manager

Design Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal Coach Designers at License to manage seasonal development, product expectations, and manage deliverables outlined by both teams and ensure clear alignment.
  • Conduct seasonal trend research to pass to our License designers.
  • Capturing key tie backs internally and passing design ideas back to License.
  • Pass trend and seasonal color palette to licensing team (ensuring all seasonal updates are captured during the progression of the review process).
  • Coordinate with Coach internal team to pass seasonal prints based on the deliverables set by teams when needed.
  • Create and implement a process with internal teams to ensure all licensed product follows correct approval process.

 

Development Responsibilities:

  • Working with materials team to secure any tie back material that might be necessary (RTW fabric / RTW leather / RTW trim / LG material / LG trim) across retail and outlet.
  • Passing (RTW fabric / RTW leather / RTW trim / LG material / LG trim) back to license team ensuring any nuance of additional treatments/ washes etc. have been captured and accounted for.
  • Working with internal cross functional teams to secure material and ensuring this gets charged back to correct budget.
  • Working with cross functional partners; as needed, to ensure all dates are captured for BULK projections and orders for any tie back materials.
  • Following up with Internal PD / Production Asia, if needed to ensure any technique swatches are arranged and shipped to license vendor
  • Working with Coach to receive material cuttings at both sample and bulk stage to share with license; setting up processes to make this seamless.
  • Managing development calendar to ensure all information needed from Coach design is passed in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on all sample status for proto and show sample.
  • Support License account on all approval process (e.g. hardware / trim / print) that has to algin back to internal standards.
  • Manage any late requests from either Coach team or License accounts to ensure product fits into development and production timeline.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
