Title: Sr. Analyst, NA Store Planning Allocation & Optimization     
Location: 10 Hudson Yards

 

Primary Purpose:

The Senior Analyst of NA Store Planning Allocation & Optimization is responsible for optimizing topline store inventory levels to meet sales plans and minimize lost sales without exceeding capacity constraints. This role reports into the Senior Manager of Store Planning Allocation & Optimization. The Store Planning Allocation & Optimization team is highly collaborative and partners closely with a variety of cross functional teams. This is a great opportunity for an individual with outstanding analytical and communication skills, who is strategic and motivated.


The successful individual will…

  • Optimize topline inventory levels for the stores and eCom based on historical data & upcoming store sales plans by identifying potential risks (e.g., lost sales / out of stocks, stores over capacity, etc.) and defining solutions
  • Develop extensive knowledge of store, district, and regional level performance through detailed data analysis and use expertise to work with cross functional partners to support business growth
  • Provide recommendations on allocation opportunity pull back or push more volume based on demand, finance plans, capacity, safety stocks, etc.
  • Partner with store field team to understand inventory needs to help achieve their business goal
  • Identify unproductive inventory and recommend transfers back to FCs or store-to-store
  • Recommend adjustments to store-level demand forecasting in Allocate Smart allocation tool based on store trend changes and financial targets
  • Execute ad hoc store analysis (e.g., A/B testing support and data for pricing, product, VM tests)
  • Leverage store capacity information and knowledge of store fleet needs to influence store clustering strategy in support pre-season planning
  • Support store planning for new store openings & relocations
  • Work closely with Buying, Brand Operations, Finance, Field, VM, Allocation Ops & Logistics, and Store Operations teams in support of the above outlined functions

 

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • 2+ years of analytical experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered 
  • Experience focused in retail allocation or store planning desired
  • Strong strategic thinking and outstanding analytical/quantitative skills with ability to manage large amounts of data
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and adapt to fast-paced, dynamic business environment
  • Excellent listening, communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively interact with team members and cross functional and field partners at all levels
  • Experience working with allocation systems required, experience with Allocate Smart a plus
  • Experience working with reporting systems and databases required, experience with MicroStrategy and SAP a plus
  • Ability to learn systems and new processes quickly; advanced knowledge of Excel required
