Primary Purpose

The successful individual will manage sales, operations, and staff development of a group of stores in Korea market to achieve maximum profitability in compliance with company regulations and procedures while ensuring consistent positive customer experiences. Reporting to the Senior Area Manager of Korea Duty Free of Korea, his/her mission will be to integrate the current team and progressively build a strong “Coach” culture, based on retail, service and performance. 

Key Responsibilities

Retail Management

  • Support in the day-to-day follow-ups of the planned strategies and initiatives to overachieve sales in KDF Channel
  • Monitor, track of sales KPI by door level (daily, weekly, monthly) to reach the target in various angles
  • Focus on managing each key door and keep eyes on competitors’ actions and activities
  • Utilize various reports to provide sales analysis and develop sales strategies
  • Analysis of Store & staff sales performance to propose action plan & objectives
  • Develop action plans with each store to increase sales opportunities, sales growth and conversion rates
  • Partner with store manager to identify and develop plans for existing and new customers including events and outreach opportunities.
  • Understand and execute retail planning (daily, weekly, monthly and annual) as well as lead retail activities (sales promotion, marketing activities, store staff motivational initiatives like team share and other incentives) supported by key metrics analysis (sales productivities, sales metrics-traffic, conversions, AT, AUR, UPT, etc.)
  • Interacts and communicates with corporate partners (Marketing, Visual, Merchandising, HR, LP, Finance, etc.) on a regular basis to identify retail channel of opportunity and to execute these initiatives
  • Maintain constant awareness of markets, trends, competitor activities, problem retail channel as input to the business strategy
  • Reviews store environments and key business indicators within retail channel to identify problems, concerns and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure stores are compliant with 4 wall management process and all daily tasks are completed within stores without negatively impacting service of Coach standards
  • Conduct frequent visits to stores and spend time with the sales staff to evaluate and rectify needs and issues
  • Manage with integrity, honesty, fairness and knowledge promoting culture, values and vision of Coach

 

People Management

 

  • Build and manage KDF field management – recruit, interview, hiring, on-boarding, evaluating, and retaining top talents (Store Managers and store employees)
  • Interact frequently with Store Managers and staff to identify training needs and making proactively recommendations for improvement
  • Identify staffs’ potential & the talents in the existing team
  • Inspires and motivate store  managers to build a cohesive and productive team
  • Provide training, coaching & feedback for career development
  • Retain people by motivating team to gain job satisfaction

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of proven prior experiences as a multi-store manager
  • Optimism and strong ability to develop, manage and lead a successful Duty free Field team
  • Pro-active problem solver with ability to assess an issue and develop action steps for resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to think broadly, considering all perspectives on issues, and reaching logical conclusions that best serve Coach as a whole
  • Ability to quickly establish strong credibility with employees, business partners and external resources
  • Strong negotiation skills with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable standards of moral, ethical, and fair conduct
  • Driven, energetic and independent
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Moderate English proficiency
