Senior Director GC Retail Finance and Inventory Management

 

Title:                  Sr. Director, Retail Finance, Coach Greater China

Reports to:       VP & CFO, Tapestry APAC

Location:           Shanghai

Key Responsibilities:

Primary (Retail Finance):

Accountable for sales and gross margin planning for Coach Greater China

Partner with local business partners and regional FP&A team on investments in:

  • Store construction
  • Marketing events
  • IT capabilities
  • Customer activation (e.g., VIP program, digital marketing, CRM activities)

 Drive the business towards key financial objectives, identifying risks/opportunities as conditions change in the local market or with the brand’s performance

Continuously improve forecast accuracy to ensure optimal allocation of resources

 

Primary (Inventory Management):

Accountable for total Coach GCKR inventory position and resulting inventory turn

Local owner of IBP processes, including monthly Demand & Inventory Review with HQ

Set OTB budgets, incorporating:

  • Financial plans and potential risks/opportunities
  • Expected sell-through rates
  • Seasonal product strength
  • Local strategic priorities

Monitor sales & product performance to identify opportunities in pricing, product lifecycles, inventory movements, OTB adjustments, etc.

Minimize inventory obsolescence and lead any end-of-life decisions (e.g., product donation, employee sale)

Coordinate with global partners to facilitate the above actions

 

    1. Member of Coach China Leadership Team, including acting as a project sponsor or task force leader as required

 

Education, Experience, Qualifications, Skills:

  • Language skillset: Fluency in English;
  • Familiarity with financial systems (PBCS, CORA, RPAS)
  • Ability to manage and develop a team based in multiple locations
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influence
  • Mental flexibility to quickly adapt to changes in both business context and priorities
