Job Title: Senior Merchandise Planner, SEA & CI Outlet

Reporting into: Senior Manager, Merchandise Planning, SEA & CI Outlet  

Location: Singapore

 

Primary Purpose: The Senior Merchandise Planner position is responsible for all merchandising planning activities associated with Coach SEA business channel. The ideal candidate will be required to manage and develop a balanced assortment offering based on market needs and company strategic goals. This is a key role in delivering performance against sales, SKU productivity, and product sell through, maximizing pre and in season inventory and optimizing cross channel opportunities.

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in merchandising to…

  • Understand each of the region within Coach SEA and analyze consumer retail trends, market landscape, and competitive environment
  • Collaborate with Global and Greater China/Coach Asia Merchandising Teams to understand seasonal strategies, priorities and newness styles
  • Engage in seasonal line reviews with Global Teams, highlighting current selling trends and product gaps to influence future product creation.
  • Communicate with Global Merchandise Planning Team on department growth strategies and key investment guidance to increase SKU productivity. Develop Financial Assortment Architecture (FAA) plans each season to address regional trends.
  • Responsible for identifying any gaps in merchandising assortment during seasonal product opportunity (SPO) process.
  • Create consumer-focused assortments for each region considering store profiles, VM space capacity and SKU productivity
  • Analyze POS data analysis to understand sell-through to aid pre-season planning, and identify in-season opportunities
  • Collaborate with Allocator for inventory optimization based on current season inventory on hand, identify if there is any gap/opportunity of sales to pull forward newness launch
  • Responsible for identifying pricing/promotion opportunities for local market. Monitor competitors against Brand's position in terms of products and pricing
  • Partner with Retail Management team to gather product feedback

 

 

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • 3-5 years’ experience in retail, B2B, franchise or wholesale experience 
  • Proven track record of buying/merchandising success for multinational brand/company
  • Analytical skills and ability to translate data into action points
  • Ability to perform well under pressure with multiple deadlines
  • Experience in merchandising/planning systems and SAP a plus

  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macro building a plus)
  • Experience in reporting systems i.e CORA/BI/Microstrategy is a plus 
  • BA/BS university degree or its equivalent in merchandising, business, finance, economics, or supply chain.
