Primary Purpose:

Tapestry is looking a leader who will provide subject matter expertise, coaching, and mentoring across End User Computing environment including imaging and endpoint management.

The Engineer of End User Computing is a true technical leader that inspires creativity, innovation and technical leadership to the team. A technical leader focused on the execution component that is agile and understands how to map the business needs to viable technology solutions and achieve desired results. A technical leader and subject matter expert in Windows imaging, endpoint management technologies, software deployments, and their implementation in large scale environment.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to...

  • Create, test and develop standard workstation images. Test, evaluate, and package software and applications for workstation distribution.
  • Administer the System Center application suite, BitLocker, portions of Symantec Endpoint Protection, VMware and MDM solution.
  • Windows 7, Windows 10 Operating Systems and Microsoft Office 2016 and O365 deployments.
  • Research, diagnose and resolve production problems such as defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in systems functions, outputs, and content.
  • Perform upgrades / maintenance activities as well as troubleshoot system issues by providing 3rd level support.
  • Mentor and train other team members as required.
  • Perform computer management and system administration activities.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the IT Service Desk and Level 2 Desktop Support.
  • Serve as the primary IT administrator for several support tools/applications.

The accomplished individual will possess...

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
    • At least 8 years of total IT experience
    • 3-5 years SCCM knowledge around reporting and software deployments. Must be able to troubleshoot the software package, client and server components.
    • Knowledge and/or prior experience with standard software packaging and patch deployment methodologies.
    • Plan, architect, design, document and implement end user computing platforms, operating system, enterprise software, and peripheral upgrades to improve services provided to business clients. Conduct proof of concepts as appropriate to confirm and refine designs.
    • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvements to existing processes and for automation of time consuming tasks
    • Tier 3 support experience with in-depth knowledge of desktop/application troubleshooting. Experience with VMware is a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of the Windows Operating System.

  • Hard Skills:
    • Knowledge of all components of System Center Configuration Manager technical architecture
      • Knowledge and hands-on experience in Group policy management, Image deployments, application deployments.
      • Knowledge with VB Script and PowerShell
      • Windows 10 deployments and modern configuration/deployments   
  • Characteristics:

    • Is motivated by long-term results.
