Position Overview:

The purpose of Footwear Fitting Model is to provide feedback of the fit, comfort, style, and quality of the footwear. The feedback is used for Footwear Technicians, Designers and Developers and Service Providers to improve the product and ensure customer satisfaction. The Footwear Fitting Model may also participate in photos shoots, wear testing and other activities related to the footwear fitting and usage.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Footwear Technicians, Product Developers and Designers to evaluate fit, comfort, and performance of footwear during prototypes, sales samples, approval samples, grading tests and production stages.

  • Partner to Footwear Technicians for new last e new construction development, assessment, and correction.

  • Provide honest and constructive feedback on the fit, comfort, style, and quality of the footwear product.

  • Identify and provide any issues or defects with the footwear fit.

  • Follows instructions on how to fit and wear the footwear.

  • Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude during fitting sessions.

  • Maintain foot care.

  • Update and maintain detailed fitting approval records.

  • Be reliable, punctual, professional, and courteous with workmates, customers, and suppliers.

 

Requirements:

  • Must have a foot shape that is representative of average customer.

  • Standard shoe size that matches the footwear company and designer’s target market: US 6B.

  • Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

  • Good sense of style and fashion.

  • Good eye, detail-oriented with a passion for quality and craftsmanship.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Willingness to try on different types of footwear and provide feedback: dress, casual, high heels, flats, ballets, pumps, sandals, booties, boots, sneakers, jellies, flip flop, vulcanized, injected, etc.

  • Drives for results; understands needs of the business and executes with excellence.

  • Motivated, energized.

  • Adaptable to the changing needs of the business.

  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills with attention to detail.

  • Passion and enthusiasm for footwear products.

  • Flexible schedule and availability for fitting sessions.

  • Adaptable to different types of footwear and working environments.

  • Available to travel to Service Providers (suppliers)

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Prior experience as a Footwear Fitting Model or similar role is a plus.

  • Experience working in a global or multi-cultural environment is a plus.
