This Manager of Supply Chain Accounting position is located in Las Vegas, NV reporting to the Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Accounting.  The primary role of this position is to support the supply chain/inventory accounting for Tapestry’s Distribution Centers with a focus on the brand new Las Vegas Distribution Center.   The individual will need to provide insight and analysis on activity throughout the supply chain for all Tapestry brands.  Major responsibilities include inventory reconciliation through the various systems, month-end close journal entries, and SOX controls.  Additionally, this position supports the ongoing changes related to the transformation of the Tapestry supply chain.

 

This position provides primary support to the following groups: DC Operations, Retail Inventory Control, Trade Compliance, Transportation, Account Services, and the Production Planning Departments.

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to...

 

  • Analyze inventory movements/adjustments and reconcile inventory between the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to SAP for various DCs within North America, Europe and Asia.

 

  • Participate in planning of Las Vegas DC including set-up policies and procedures related to inventory management.

 

  • Perform monthly accounting activities including the preparation of monthly journal entries, related account reconciliations and reporting.

 

  • Researches and validates Cycle Count/Physical Inventory results for the DCs.

 

  • Assist in the documentation and maintenance of inventory sub-processes, including the identification and testing of relevant SOX controls.  Continually evaluate and revise established policies and procedures as needed with specific emphasis on Inventory.

 

  • Provide a high level of customer service and capable of delivering ad hoc business requests as well as influence on both local and corporate management teams.

 

  • Special projects, as needed.

 

The accomplished individual will possess...

 

  • 3 or more years of experience preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Accounting or Finance degree required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft platforms (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • ERP (SAP S/4 HANA) experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, challenge convention and to provide solutions in ambiguous and changing situations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends problem solve, and or recommendations for action
  • Demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis with limited direction
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships with all levels of management
