 Primary Purpose: The (Temp) Assistant, HR – Field, UK & Ireland, will be responsible for providing timely and efficient HR support, predominantly to the UK & Ireland retail population, with ad hoc support to the wider teams as and when needed. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, Field – Europe and working closely with the local Area Managers, this role will cover the full generalist spectrum with a particular emphasis on employee relations and HR administration in UK & Ireland.

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Human Resources to:

  • Support with all HR processes across the employee lifecycle including, but not limited to:

    • Liaising with our external administration provider to ensure all contracts of employment and change of terms letters are sent to employees in a timely manner

    • Liaising with Tapestry People Services regarding verification of employment requests

    • Collecting and verifying Right to Work documentation for all new hires

    • Track and monitor the probationary review process

  • Attend formal meetings as the HR representative, providing the relevant pre-paperwork and follow up, acting as note-taker and providing guidance as required 

  • Support with employee relations matters in compliance with local legislation and HR best practice

  • Coordinate and support with the monthly payroll validation process, ensuring line managers update the HRIS in a timely manner to capture all new starters, leavers and contractual changes

  • Support the Retail Area Managers in providing generalist HR support to their populations

  • Provide first-line support to employees with general ad-hoc HR queries and administration

  • Regularly review the HR administrative processes, ensuring alignment with the wider HR team and identifying efficiencies and areas for improvement on a continuous basis

  • Assist and support on all other ad hoc duties and HR projects as required

 

The accomplished individual will possess:

  • Proven experience in a HR Administrator or Assistant role, ideally in a retail or hospitality environment

  • Proficient knowledge of local UK employment legislation and HR best practice in the UK

  • Experience dealing with employee relations cases

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with employees at all levels

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
