The Primary Purpose: 

The AP Manager will be the key person for all Accounts Payable and T&E matters relating to the Tapestry Europe entities under the Senior Retail Accounting Manager’s supervision; contributing to the production and integrity of the financial and management accounts. He/she will be responsible for overseeing A/P and T&E processing performed by our third-party outsourced provider in a SOX compliant environment. The role will manage 3 local direct reports and 10 indirect reports from an outsourced team located in India. He/she will ensure timely and accurate AP processing and will be a valued business partner in this focused and high-performing team.

  • Partner with our outsourcing partners to support management of T&E, Accounts Payable and other transactional processing

Be key point of contact for the business for AP and T&E, and provide training on relevant systems (Ariba & Concur)

Own and review the weekly payment proposal

Monitor and close out open transactions in SAP related to invoices and payments

Review aged vendor open items and resolve in a timely manner

Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation under the guidance of the Senior Retail Accounting Manager

Manage the AP team’s performance and development opportunities

Manage audit (external, internal and VAT) queries

Support accounting processes while simplifying as the business grows through new markets and countries

  • Ensure SOX compliance, monitoring key controls


The accomplished individual will possess…


Strong experience managing an accounts payable function, ideally with high volumes of multi-currency transactions

Some understanding of invoice compliance related to legal entities and VAT

GDPR awareness and applicability to AP and T&E transactions

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines and have a strong sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a team
