Sr. Manager, Finance - 12 month FTC

Joining on a 12 month fixed term contract the Senior Finance Manager will play an integral role in the general accounting team, being the ‘go to’ person for all general accounting matters relating to Europe under the supervision of the Europe Controller.

Managing a team of five, the role will take full responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of accounting for the retail, wholesale and ecommerce business, and will be a valued business partner to multiple departments. The individual will be responsible for the review of general accounting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and support internal/ external audits as required.


The key tasks and responsibilities for the role are as follows:

  • Owning and managing the close process for the Europe retail, wholesale and ecommerce business;
  • Overseeing the general accounting team by managing a team of five, including four direct reports;
  • Assisting in maintaining and improving our internal controls and processes;
  • Responsibility for SOX compliance for the general accounting team;
  • Building close working relationships with the FP&A team and cross business partners;
  • Working closely with the Corporate Accounting department to clear technical matters and prepare quarterly reporting packs;
  • Managing general accounting related audit queries; and
  • Working closely with the Europe Controller to support new projects and provide business support.


The Senior Manager will join a high-performing team and will work cross-functionally to monitor controls and key processes and to ensure continuous improvement.

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of 5 years+ PQE accounting experience at multinational public company or major accounting firm
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with US GAAP
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter, takes initiative, highly motivated
  • Ability to multi task and be flexible regarding changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Ability to perform critical analysis and thinking, prioritize and problem solve
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
