Primary Purpose:

The Analys role is a member of the Contract Optimization function, which currently sits in Tapestry’s Legal Department and reports to the VP & Deputy General Counsel.  It is based in Tapestry’s NYC corporate headquarters and is hybrid, in the office three days each week.
 

Contract Optimization Function:
The team’s work includes leveraging and building on Tapestry’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools, processes and workflows and working with internal cross-functional teams to support the efficient creation, negotiation, and execution of contracts.  The team creates and manages communications and training on contract-related information and the CLM, manages contract knowledge management and templates, ensures contract requirements are met, assists with managing and guiding contract requests through execution, and extracts and analyzes key data points about the contracting process and executed contracts and manages, shares and uses data to identify and build on efficiencies, evaluate workflows and monitor compliance with key requirements.  This team works with global cross-functional partners, particularly in the Legal and Procurement Departments, to track the status of contracts in process and – with a customer service mindset – guide internal teams with respect to contracting.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities


Key responsibilities of the Analyst, Contract Optimization, role include:

  • Serving as a super-user of our CLM tool (DocuSign), including managing intake, workflows, and reporting, and building out efficiencies and analytics.
  • Creating and analyzing reporting relating to contracts.
  • Drafting and negotiating lower-risk, high-frequency contracts to drive business value while identifying and mitigating risk.
  • Coordinating and managing contracting playbooks, templates and other knowledge management tools and tracking review of Tapestry’s terms and conditions.
  • Interpreting and assessing issues, risk, agreements and questions from internal teams to quickly provide a path that ensures a business or legal decision and helps to efficiently move contracting work forward.
  • Collaborating closely with the global internal stakeholders in Legal and Procurement to ensure on-going building of efficient contracting processes are developed and followed.
  • Serving as a central point of contact for contract workflows and ensuring contracts are executed efficiently and in accordance with Tapestry standards, business needs and timelines.
  • Championing CLM and supporting training for Legal, Procurement and business teams.
  • Developing and managing strategies, schedules and task lists to ensure assigned projects are accomplished on time.
  • Providing training on the CLM to the Legal and Procurement teams and ensuring use of the CLM continues to evolve and grow.
  • Ensuring new contracts are developed in compliance with regulations and current playbooks.  ​
  • Assisting with the administration of internal systems that support the drafting, negotiation, and execution of contracts and other documents. 
  • Establishing supportive relationships with internal business partners and cross-functional support teams and providing information with a customer-service mindset.​
  • Assisting with the resolution of contract-related issues, and coordinating with Tapestry’s legal and procurement partners, as needed, to support conclusions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of two years working with contracts, including experience drafting contracts and creating and executing contracting strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a database, run reports and analyze data.
  • Demonstrated project and time management, prioritization and organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and take ownership of issues and matters to their successful conclusion.
  •  A strong sense of collaboration and teamwork, with a focus on customer service.

Preferred education and experience:

  • Experience with DocuSign, Salesforce, IronClad or other CLM tool
  • Experience providing training.  
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional partners and as part of a global team.
  • Project management or database administration​.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines​.

BASE PAY RANGE $66,000.00 TO $75,000.00 Annually
