Responsibilities:

  • Provide transparent and reliable insurance and claim reports to senior management and other partners
  • Gather underwriting information, prepare submission and identify major exposure changes for the insurance policy renewal process
  • Allocate insurance premiums based on underwriting exposures
  • Liaise with broker and internal business partners to ensure quotes, binders, premium invoices, paid receipts, evidence of insurance and other locally required documentation for the global portfolio are issued in a timely fashion
  • Timely and accurate submission of assigned claims; help facilitate the investigation and resolution in a timely fashion
  • Identify, analyze and report claim trends; assist in the development of appropriate loss prevention techniques, where applicable
  • Analyze and provide recommendations on reserve and settlement requests
  • Participate in claim reviews, stewardship and insurance renewal meetings with TPAs and Brokers
  • Assist in providing ad hoc exceptions to 3rd party contractual insurance terms
  • Ensure accurate data submission and insurance forms to meet regulatory or statutory requirements and to comply with contract obligations
  • Track, fulfill and monitor Certificates of Insurance requests 
  • Prepare and track all insurance related invoices , ensuring appropriate backup is identified to validate the invoice’s activity
  • Partner with Accounting to reconcile IBNR and prepaid accounts
  • Assist with special projects and other duties, as assigned by management
  • Assist with processing daily Employee/Customer injury report submissions in accident reporting system

 

Requirements:

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 2-3 years of experience in finance, insurance, accounting or an analytical field
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications; Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Familiarity of basic property, casualty and FINEX/FINPRO coverages and concepts
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Highly organized and proactive with acute attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interact collaboratively and build cross functional relationships
  • CPCU and/or ARM certification is preferred, but not required
