Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to support operations and sourcing to take advantage of indirect procurement savings opportunities for the Travel Category across Tapestry, Inc.  


The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in travel and sourcing to...

  • Helping identify opportunities for process improvement and cost containment/avoidance
  • Increasing spend under management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with internal business stakeholders and external vendors
  • Strong customer service instincts, assisting travelers with profile management, issue escalation across all supplier verticals.
  • Providing support for group travel and meetings
  • Research market trends and be aware of new market entrants
  • Project planning including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder teams, etc.
  • Explore process & continuous improvements to the benefit of the global organization

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university (preferably in Hospitality or Supply Chain)
  • 3-5 years of work experience preferred; prior Travel industry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge in: supplier management, compliance tools and processes, KPI reporting and dashboard creation/maintenance
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a global decentralized organization with minimum supervision
  • Strong program management skills and results oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills; ability to speak to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated success in gathering data, conducting analyses, and generating high quality outputs
  • Knowledge of travel management systems

An outstanding professional will have...

  • First hand working knowledge of Strategic Sourcing Methodology and Contract Management is essential. Technical knowledge and expertise in corporate travel verticals (TMC, Air, Ground or Hotel)
  • Analytical, influencing, facilitating, team-building, strategic thinking, process-driven
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), eRFX, Aventri and Egencia experience preferred
