Job Title: Manager, Product Management, Product Information Management

Primary Purpose:

We're looking for a Manager, Product Management, Product Information Management to play a critical role on the enterprise level digital product team. You'll be instrumental in defining the features and driving the execution of new product features for Product information management system that will help delight our brands. You will actively solicit input from business stakeholders, understand a range of business processes and provide guidance on best practices for Product Information Management. You will also work closely with internal and external customers to execute new product features to meet the changing needs and requirements of users.

The role reports into the Sr. Manager, Digital Product Management for Tapestry.  It is beneficial to note that the enterprise-level Digital team, of which this role will be a part, is newly created, in conjunction with Tapestry’s ongoing strategy evolution as a stable of luxury fashion brands. The Product function is in its nascent stages at Tapestry and there is a large change management effort underway to introduce the organization to Digital Best Practices, establish the process of prioritization and outline appropriate scalable efficiencies for socializing the demonstrable revenue benefit of digital initiatives.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Product Management to…

  • Partner with the merchants, copywriters, technology teams and other business stakeholders to ensure that Product Information Management features are properly defined, documented, planned, executed, and verified across all digital channels and banners using Product Information Management system.
  • Collaborate with key business and technology partners to generate ideas and execute key initiatives, owning a timeline and holding stakeholders accountable to dates and results.
  • Collaborate with key business and technology partners to define and implement process improvements that will save manual work, reduce quality issues, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Own specific functional areas which would require creating and tracking project plans, managing issues and risks, managing teams indirectly and directly, and creating succinct status reports.
  • Actively identify business opportunities, diagnose problems, identify risks, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Properly challenge established processes through review of business and functional requirements documents to ensure that products and features adhere to our vision and will deliver the expected quality and value.
  • Possess superb communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to set and meet deadlines as well as provide direction and appropriate feedback.
  • Knowledge on Creating User stories, Agile Scrum methodology, Running Scrum meetings
  • Contribute and support the Product Information Management roadmap to add new features and functionality across all brands under Tapestry.
  • Define, establish and measure KPI’s around Product Information Management and the processes involved.
  • Move with agility to define, design and release iteratively great product that delight our brands.
  • Continually scan competitive landscape and technology advancements to identify best practices, emerging trends, and innovation opportunities in Product Information Management.
  • Identify and collaborate with business units or function data stakeholders to categorize issues/opportunities and to drive data consistency and quality.
  • Create and maintain product roadmaps, feature backlogs and product documentation such PRDs, user stories, use cases, user flows, logic flows, and functional specifications.

 

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • Bachelor’s degree with IT, business, computer science or technical focus preferred.
  • 4-6 years of Product Owner/Business Analysis experience preferably in Master Data Management/Product Information Management
  • Hands-on experience implementing Product Information Management across large e-commerce business.
  • Possess strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—a compelling, impactful storyteller.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel
  • Basic knowledge of XML and/or computer programming. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work effectively in team environment 
  • Able to communicate with technical and non-technical people. 
  • Experience in Visio or other process flow tool
  • Strong understanding of digital platforms and technologies; experience with SFCC platform preferred.
