Job Title: Director, Tagging and Data Governance

Primary Purpose: Ensure that production site tagging meets the specifications defined by product and brand teams, resulting in high data quality.

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Tagging and Data Governance to:

 

  • Partner with product, brand, and analytics stakeholders to gather requirements for all digital data and tagging needs
  • Perform audits and gap analysis of current state versus future vision
  • Write detailed technical specifications for data layer & tag implementation changes
  • Work with internal and external development partners to ensure data layer & tag changes are implemented as specified
  • Work with Digital Operations to resolve any performance issues related to third-party tags
  • Own and maintain enterprise digital data dictionary
  • Proactively monitor critical ecommerce user journeys to ensure data accuracy and continuity
  • Monitor data fidelity across disparate web analytics tools and data warehouse to ensure data capture rates remain within tolerances and any issues are corrected immediately
  • Identify of opportunities and tools to improve data quality and usability
  • Work with brands on change management and training as applicable 

 

The accomplished individual will possess:

 

  • 5+ years of experience managing website tagging and digital analytics for a major ecommerce brand (experience with Google Analytics preferred)
  • Experience translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications and working with technical experts to achieve accurate implementation
  • Experience with automated data validation services
  • Ability to operate in a complex, matrixed organization and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functional areas
  • Exceptional attention to detail and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic front-end coding ability a plus
