Primary Purpose:

A key member of the Tapestry global communications team, this role works in a matrix organization to develop powerful Executive communications with a focus on supporting Tapestry’s CEO. This role is responsible for setting a clear and consistent messaging strategy in the CEO voice across all communications touch points. This role reports to VP, Global Communications and works closely with colleagues and partners around the world with a focus on engaging audiences.

Key Messages and CEO Voice – this role will develop and articulate key CEO specific messages in the right voice and tone for the audience. This role will work across the organization to develop, review and/or guide materials that come from the office of the CEO.

 

CEO Employee Engagement – develop engaging employee communications opportunities to ensure employees regularly hear from the CEO. Content may include speeches/presentations, fireside chats, video content, blog posts, emails or social media posts.

 

Thought Leadership – support development of a thought leadership agenda as well as materials to express CEO perspective. Working across channels and topics, use strong storytelling and a variety of communication techniques to engage across audiences on company priorities.

 

Media Prep- this role will support media appearances and prep work, gathering key facts, materials, and assets (bio, photos, b-roll) as needed for impactful media interviews and appearances.

 

Data and metrics – leverage data and insights to measure communications impact and adjust strategy.

 

The accomplished individual will possess...

 

  • 10 years (minimum) of work experience developing and implementing effective communication plans and strategies; working with senior leaders.
  • Passion for storytelling and creating compelling engaging content. Desire to turn sometimes complex content into compelling messages.
  • Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of developing and delivering multi-channel communications
  • Strong executive presence, with a proven track record of working with all levels of employees, from stores to C-suite
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Is a fast learner, enjoys problem solving and can collaborate across disparate teams.
  • Nimble, agile and willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job done
  • Ability to work confidently under tight deadlines while paying close attention to detail and quality
  • A passion for creativity and our brands

 

An outstanding professional will have...

 

  • Keen understanding of current communications landscape. Tech and social media savvy in exploring different mediums/modes of communication to achieve communication objectives.
  • Curiosity about world and industry topics and the ability to ask probing questions that help uncover powerful stories
  • Have a Bachelors Degree in related field (Masters preferred) and at least 10 years of experience in a public company with responsibility for internal and/or external communications
  • Portfolio required (multi-media preferred)
