Engineering Team Lead, Tapestry Analytics

The Analytics group at Tapestry is the center of excellence for data science and deep learning. Through the application of machine learning algorithms and intuitive interfaces and APIs, Analytics is transforming the way Tapestry employees make decisions and interact with our customers globally.


Primary Purpose: This Sr. Manager position will serve as the Software Engineering lead for Tapestry’s Analytics group, enabling the success of our people, our company and our brands through the development of human-centric, data-powered applications. This role reports to the Head of Product & Engineering for Analytics, and will work collaborative across all Tapestry brands globally.


A successful candidate in this role will leverage their experiences to:


  • Lead and develop a team of engineers focused on the delivery of proprietary, internal-facing forecasting platforms
  • Own the full-stack technical roadmap for the platform and suite of supporting APIs
  • Work collaboratively with design, product management, and leadership to deliver the product roadmap
  • Partner with brand stakeholders to facilitate usability testing and user feedback sessions
  • Contribute to software engineering best practices globally across the organization


Qualified candidates will have:


  • 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience with a proven track record of product delivery
  • 2+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical field
  • Deep experience with JavaScript and frameworks such as React
  • Experience working with containerized environments
  • Experience owning microservices architecture
  • Expertise in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
  • Understanding of Agile methods and modern software development lifecycle
  • Experience driving product vision, launch plan, and growth strategies


Other preferred qualifications include:


  • Experience working with remote development teams
  • A foundational understanding of serverless applications
  • Experience designing systems for scalability and performance
  • Interest in and/or experience with data science and machine learning applications
