Primary Purpose: This position sits on the Global Advertising & Marketing Procurement Team, leading strategic sourcing category strategies and key initiatives to drive enterprise-wide value creation and to support Tapestry, Inc. brands strategic growth opportunities.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Procurement & Sourcing to…
- Lead transformational sourcing initiatives across CRM, Production & Events, Creative and PR with support across Media, Consumer Insights, MarTech, Digital and Visual Merchandising categories
- Manage initiatives within Tapestry’s dynamic and complex $650MM+ Global Advertising & Marketing Indirect Procurement Category
- Develop and maintain trust and confidence of team members and sr. Marketing & Digital stakeholders (e.g., VPs, SVPs CEOs etc.)
- Work independently with minimal guidance, understanding when to escalate / provide visibility to leaders & stakeholders
- Use accurate analysis, demonstrates strong project management skills, and exercises sound judgment to effectively solve problems, drives for results, and mitigate risk
- Clearly and proactively communicate status to project/team leads, and stakeholders as needed
- Support and lead the implementation of sourcing plans and strategies for the Advertising & Marketing spend categories (Creative Advertising, Media, Digital Marketing, Promotions, Public Relations, CRM/Email Service Provider, Marketing Print, Events Management).
- Assist in identifying and developing comprehensive sourcing strategies process to maximize the company’s Advertising & Marketing spend.
- Manage vendor contract life cycle to prepare the organization for contract renegotiations, extensions or renewals.
- Drive the tactical execution of the day-to-day plan to deliver consistent and sustainable savings and business value creation for the organization.
- Develop metrics, tools, and processes to properly track and communicate efficiencies across the various spend activities.
- Develop analysis and interpretations of actual performance versus plan/forecast and assess the impact on future results.
- Understand the functional business; helping identify opportunities for process improvement, cost containment / avoidance, revenue generation, capital investment.
- Prepare business cases to quantify cost savings and/or benefits of new initiatives.
- Manage sourcing activities by preparing, issuing and evaluating bid and RFI/RFP requests. Negotiate and finalize price, quality and delivery. Develop optimization scenarios for awards.
- Lead the exploration of processes & continuous improvements across the Global Procurement organization as well as within the business and outline how to address (i.e. value-stream mapping etc.).
The accomplished individual will possess...
- 5+ years of work experience; prior Procurement/Sourcing or consulting experience preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered
- Knowledge in sourcing process, contract management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity, supplier management and technology utilization
- High level of self-motivation with the ability to drive change in a global decentralized organization with minimum supervision
- Project management skills and results driven
- Interpersonal skills with successful oral and written communication and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated success in gathering data, conducting analyses, and generating high quality outputs
- Knowledge of Ariba, eProcurement and eCatalog management systems is a plus
- Ability to collaborate on international projects
- Excellent organization, time management, and influencing skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

- Advanced Microsoft Excel user knowledge and skills for key excel capabilities, functions and formulas
- Proficiency in other parts of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), eRFX and eAuction experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Strategic Sourcing Methodology and Contract Management is essential.
- Technical knowledge and expertise in certain commodity areas is a plus

Work Setup:
BASE PAY RANGE $95,000.00 TO $105,000.00 Annually
