Sr. Manager, Strategy & Consumer Insights

Primary Purpose: The Strategy team facilitates the development of both Tapestry's long term growth strategy and more immediate operational decisions by providing fact based analysis, consumer insights, and practical recommendations to key decision makers across the Tapestry organization.

The team conducts detailed analyses of internal data, performs primary consumer research and investigates overall market trends to help business partners across all functional areas and geographies develop key insights about their businesses.

The Strategy team also works collaboratively with business partners across different parts of the organization to share insights, and develop practical business recommendations.


The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Strategy to…

  • Work with Strategy team and business partners globally to proactively identify, develop and drive strategies and initiatives that will result in profitable growth for the company.
  • Drive execution of both strategy and consumer insights projects both as a project manager and strong individual contributor.
  • Prioritize work streams across multiple projects.
  • Develop key hypotheses and support/disprove them through data analysis and insights.
  • Develop strong relationships with business partners at all levels.
  • Manage projects by working with external market research vendors.
  • Contribute to attracting, retaining, developing, and motivating a team of highly qualified staff.

  • Experience managing projects using both quantitative and qualitative data sources, including ability to provide direction and successfully generate results working with internal or external resources.
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytic leadership and strong broad business acumen
  • Ability to demonstrate thought leadership both as an individual contributor and when leading others.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional oral, written and formal presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate innovative insights from rigorous analysis.
  • Strong interest in working in retail

An outstanding professional will have…

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree, MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred
  • 5-7 years of total relevant work experience
  • Previous experience with modeling and developing scenario analysis in Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience with or willingness to learn more advanced analytic tools such as Microsoft Access, SAS, or SQL
  • Global experience, a plus
