Director, eCommerce QA

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Ecommerce to...

 

  • Lead QA/QA Automation team ensuring quality of solutions delivered to projects and production support teams.
    • Director will be responsible for defining the project testing strategy and for coordinating and ensuring consistent and appropriate testing by project QA team members, for coordinating testing with UAT testing teams and for ensuring full and appropriate use of test automation frameworks.
    • This role will define and work within the testing strategy defined for projects, adhering to best practices and looking to automate where appropriate.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define functional requirements, modeling those requirements in an organized manner, and communicating those requirements throughout the E2E and UAT life cycle.
  • Identify risks, suggest and negotiate appropriate mitigation to the risks.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations.

 

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • 8+ years of professional experience managing digital-intensive organizations focused on testing verification and automation.
  • Strong people management skills with proven ability to attract, hire, motivate and develop the best QA talent.
  • Proven track record of testing full systems and knowledge of change control process & build acceptance.
  • Exceptional debugging and diagnostic skill set.
  • Daily use of project/task management/ticket tracking software system.
  • History of incorporating an accepted industry-standard software development methodology a plus.
  • Prior employment in a fashion / multi-brand environment is ideal. 
  • Practical Demandware/Salesforce Commerce Cloud knowledge a plus.
  • Prior roles within an Ecommerce support team a plus.

Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of SDLC and agile concepts and their inter-relationships with QA practices.
  • Advanced test definition and optimized test execution skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Quality assurance principles and best practices
  • Experience developing test strategies, test plans and test cases
  • Experience of functional, user interface and system integration testing
  • Experience of performance and other non-functional testing
  • Experience with test automation frameworks
  • Experience with user interface testing tools ie. Selenium, QTP
  • Excellent Analysis, problem solving, time management skills
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
