Our Purpose

 

As a key member of Coach Asia Global Trade and Customs organization, the successful candidate will be a significant contributor to the organization.  The successful candidate will work with key stakeholders to deliver operational excellence and ensuring full compliance in all Asia trading markets.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Must have:

  • Conduct both US and China HS code classification based on PLM product information and issuing Customs commodity description based on the customs elements. Be capable of managing classification via Integration Point and sub systems for daily classification operations.
  • Ability to explain the HS classification principles and implications with external-SP/Brokers and internal/GTC team members and global counterpart to facilitate the HS code accuracy globally.
  • Implement team policy requirements, processes and guidelines; Facilitate customs compliance for import and export and any related customs and trade compliance activities in global markets through precise representations with other stakeholders (product development, logistics, brokers, warehouse operations, visual merchandise).
  • Able to question existing procedures and provide better solutions for improving, as well as assist in working with respective stakeholders to improve current procedure and other trade compliance processes.
  • Proficient in customs regulations. Real-time tracking of the latest regulatory documents and relevant regulations issued by Chian customs and government. Support to review the updated content in conjunction with the company's business, focusing on Customs valuation, FTA, bonded operations, classification, exotics, sample, any customs, and trade related matters, etc.

Nice to have:

  • To oversee and monitor the free trade agreement operations to ensure the necessary certification and documentation are accurate to complete the import clearance to allow Tapestry to enjoy duty saving benefits by working with the customs brokers and other key stakeholders like Logistics and P&L, etc.
  • To assist setting up the Duty Saving KPI according to the established Tapestry model and support to manage each SP KPI and provide feedback to suppliers and the management team based on KPI results to promote better performance.

 

 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

 

  • A bachelor’s degree from a full-time university is required; Business or supply chain major is preferred.
  • Customs broker license
  • US HS code classification knowledge is a plus.
  • Good reading and writing skills in English are required; Good spoken English is highly desirable.
