Senior Manager, Product Management - Backend

The Senior Manager of Digital Product Management co-defines and leads the execution of Tapestry’s group digital strategy in China on internal systems that will fully integrate and support our omni-channel strategy to grow our business tremendously. The systems may include but not limited to Product Information Management, Content Management, Digital Asset Management, and wholesale management, etc.   

 

This individual is a customer-centric Digital Product owner to play a critical role on the group level digital product team in China. S/he will be instrumental in shaping the vision, defining the roadmap, selecting the best TP and driving the execution of system integration strategy as well as new product features that will help build the best in class digital systems to increase operation efficiency and meet our company's target KPIs. This role is expected to maintain a cohesive vision with a strong customer-focus, stay informed about competitive trends, and leverage digital best practices.

 

S/he will be responsible for working with stakeholders and partners to deliver the right products to support the company’s commercial and experiential objectives within China’s distinct digital ecosystem.  S/he will have deep expertise in designing digital omni-solutions through insights and data led hypotheses, develop and iterate solutions through best practices, design thinking and lean experimentation.

 

Key China market responsibilities will include the following:

  • Develop and lead China enterprise digital capabilities related to internal digital solutions on omni-channel, PIM, CMS, DAM and wholesale, etc.
  • Establish the overall digital solution system roadmap and priorities with guidance from China Digital Leader and IT partners, including TP selection and integration strategy to ensure overall cohesiveness and efficiency.
  • Support achievement of commercial targets and results by implementing the digital solution systems – working closely with brand operations team, IT team and TPs
  • Assist in delivering an evolving, best in class, OTO experience 
    • Lead development of the product strategy in support of delivering the backend digital capabilities of our enterprise OTO strategy
    • Balance foundational, evolutionary, and innovative/inspiring initiatives in order to optimize commercial and experiential outcomes
  • Lead China demand management process on related areas
    • Partner with brands to understand and prioritize business needs and translate into digital capability roadmaps and investments
    • Work with IT and other partners to ensure that products and capabilities meet architectural and performance standards
    • Work with IT and other partners to support build vs. buy decisions
    • Co-define KPIs and Install controls and governance into TP management process
    • Achieve demonstrable internal rate of return (IRR) on product and experiential investments
  • Act as cultural change agent
    • Build a collaborative and customer-centric culture for a global multi brand organization
    • Implement design thinking and podular/scrum approaches to work
    • Support agile methodologies and process
    • Data driven/results oriented – support development of test and learn culture
  • Adopt global standards and capabilities
    • Leverage global capabilities and standards wherever possible
    • Leverage/adopt global product management standards – including global demand management processes
  • Develop and evolve best in class partnerships and capabilities with key China digital ecosystem partners
    • Proactively manage relationships in support of our portfolio of brands
    • Strategic, joint roadmap development to ensure the company participates in alpha/beta pilot activities and has well-formed solutions in advance of general availability releases
    • Develops best in class integrations and automations with key partners to support speed to solution and team scalability/efficiency
