Job Title: Analyst, FP&A

 

Primary Purpose: The FP&A Analyst role will support Stuart Weitzman brand leaders in achieving their business initiatives and financial targets in the areas of Capital spend and depreciation, HQ expenses, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). This person will report to the Sr. Manager, FP&A SW & Supply Chain.

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in FP&A to analyze month-end results, support corporate reporting requirements and managing the monthly and quarterly forecast, annual operating plan and long range planning process.

 

  • Forecast / AOP / LRP
    • Assist with the development of monthly and quarterly forecast, annual operating plan and long range planning processes for Global Capital & HQ
    • Build and consolidate the monthly forecast for Capital & Depreciation through partnerships with business leaders and collaboration with FP&A team members
    • Compile backup documentation and detailed bridges to help influence decision making and inform leadership of underlying trends
    • Partner with FP&A peers to assist with the consolidation of the Global Stuart Weitzman AOP and LRP to deliver an integrated financial business plan according to corporate deadlines
    • Analyze COGS to ensure consistency of product level costing and to appropriately forecast purchase price variances
    • Create supporting materials for the AOP and LRP presentation to Tapestry executive leadership
  • Month End Close
    • Liaison with Accounting / Control to reconcile components of financial results, analyze variances vs. plan / LY and report consolidated financial results
    • Conduct monthly and cumulative variance analysis; incorporate actual results into financial forecast
    • Partner with FP&A peers to assist with the consolidation of a month end close reporting package for SW leadership
    • Provide business insight to Tapestry business partners as needed
  • Reporting
    • Responsible for reporting Capital and HQ spend to drive business decisions
    • Review project level spend with business leaders on a monthly basis
    • Develop and distribute reporting for all HQ Spend
    • Drive initiatives to streamline processes, maintain and improve upon existing reporting

 

 

The accomplished individual will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or quantitative area
  • 1+ years of experience in Financial Planning, Analysis or related field
  • Advanced financial modelling and Microsoft Excel skills
  • P&L Budgeting/Forecasting experience, with an emphasis on building driver-based forecasts
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to communicate across multiple levels of the business
  • Ability to develop strong financial partnerships across the business and be a team player
  • Strong attention to detail
