Job Title: Manager, Social Media

 

Summary: As a member of the Global Marketing department, the Social Media Manager is responsible for the conception, development and execution of the marketing strategy pertaining to social platforms and integrated influencer marketing. The candidate should be a digital native, and visionary thinker – enthusiastic to conceptualize and implement programs that are disruptive while maintaining brand elevation. The position is inclusive of ideating, planning, executing and analysis of social media programs (across channels), influencer discovery, contracting and collaboration and other digital initiatives that arise. The role is cross-functional and requires competency across social media, luxury branding, digital advertising, project management, analytics, and trends within the fashion and retail space. Candidate should have strong passion for digital and social platforms, interest in finding new digital talents (photographers, influencers, industry disrupters), quantitative skills and a dedicated interest in fashion as well as and digital trends. Candidate must have the ability to apply an elevated brand sensibility to all creative and social platforms.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply a working knowledge of paid media buying on social platforms and digital properties to execute campaigns and monitor performance.
  • Collect social metrics and provide strategic analysis with insights; prepare weekly, monthly, and campaign reports with team and agency. Synthesizing information into concise takeaways.
  • Participate in campaign building on a global scale for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, YouTube, WeChat, digital publications, and other emerging platforms.
  • Oversee the social media calendar and collaborate with internal teams to share plans and coordinate timing.
  • Monitor social platforms for engagement, user-generated content, and customer care.
  • Engage with brand enthusiasts through liking and commenting across social platforms as needed.
  • Provide content ideation for social media platforms, influencer programs, and global branding initiatives.
  • Coordinate design and copy assets for paid media with internal teams to support team objectives.
  • Synchronize pulls of shoes and props for social media photography shoots in partnership with Creative.
  • Track and screenshot content performance to include in reporting.
  • Implement product gifting, sample pulling, shipping, and tracking with influencers and content creators.
  • Run analysis and make recommendations on retail industry digital activities and luxury benchmarking.
  • Direct administrative department documents including contracts, invoices, reports, budget tracking, and industry research.

 

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Superior working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, and other emerging platforms and high level contacts at each organization.
  • Sophisticated sense of creativity paired with strong communication skills, balanced with the ability to quantify data and analyze performance and results; balancing left brain/right brain capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and create actionable next steps, clearly communicate data to executives in a distilled, refined, relevant way.
  • Self-starter who can articulate big ideas and exciting trends.
  • Desire to flourish in fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented.
  • Adept at project management and organization: adhering to budgets, timelines, and goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with high ability to collaborate with internal teams as well as external partners, vendors and brand ambassadors.
  • The desire to network, collaborate, discover and cultivate relationships with industry thought-leaders, influencers, creative content producers, and similar to bring innovative ideas to the brand via contacts meaningful relationships 
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be proficient in iPhone applications as related to social media.
  • Proficiency in InDesign and PhotoShop is a plus.

 

Education and Experience Required

  • College degree required.
  • 4-5 years’ work experience; luxury digital background is a plus.
  • Must possess intellectual dexterity to navigate evolving fashion, social and digital landscape.
  • Interest in and passion for luxury, fashion, the arts, and contemporary culture
