report to: general manager

general purpose of the position: : responsible for the strategic development of the warehouse function and the achievement of the stores’ financial goals through operational excellence and strong leadership. responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

essential duties and responsibilities:

leadership presence/steward of talent:

Network, recruit, hire, train and motivate qualified support and leadership teams

ensure all open positions are posted and managed through icims; build a bench for future promotions and openings

onboard new team members effectively through 30/60/90 touch bases; conduct ongoing review and assessment of employee performance through monthly meetings with direct reports

utilize mid-year and annual review process as a tool for associate development and advancement; monitor and address performance concerns on a timely basis, partnering GM when necessary

operational excellence:

perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures and securing facility

overall ownership of warehouse communication and technology

operate vehicle to transport merchandise to and from warehouse; shared responsibility with assistant warehouse manager

maintain payroll budget by managing schedule and making necessary adjustments when the business warrants

develop and manage processes to ensure efficiencies around product flow/delivery times from warehouse to store, and inventory management

monitor, maintain, and follow company policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention to protect the company’s inventory and assets; conduct self audits

partner with store and corporate to effectively manage workload planning, markdowns & merchandise flow processes

organization and bi-monthly processing of damages

weekly follow-up on in-transit issues

proficient in windows-based software such as excel, word and outlook

physical requirements:

available to work store schedule, as needed, including evenings and weekends

standing for extended periods of time

able to safely lift boxes up to 40 pounds

comfortable climbing ladders

education and experience required:

5+ years management experience in a comparable retail operations environment

college degree preferred

prior luxury goods experience preferred
