The principal role of the Assistant, Global Licensing is to provide day-to-day support for the Licensing Team, while coordinating product development, marketing and other administrative needs. This position will dual report into the two (2) Global Licensing Managers.

 

The Assistant, Global Licensing must possess excellent organizational skills with extreme attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple tasks. Taking initiative, following through and problem-solving skills are a must!

 

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

LICENSEE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:

 

  • Distribute seasonal trend information and color/print standards packages prepared by in-house design lead to each of the licensees.
  • Conduct minimal research on concepts, color and trends in the market to facilitate the design process with each licensed category.
  • Schedule and attend all seasonal development reviews from initial concepts to final approvals for each category based on development calendars and recap meetings when needed.  Prepare agendas, packets and manage attendees list.
  • Ensure all product approvals are documented via photograph or CAD.
  • Keep product design and market calendars updated.
  • Help facilitate communication between both internal and external design leads and follow up on individual category design information requests.
  • Maintain ongoing sample checklist for final production samples and sample closet.

 

MARKETING/ADVERTISING/BRAND IDENTITY:

 

  • Maintain brand tool kits and advertising guidelines standards by category, by brand.
  • Initiate and manage all incoming marketing project requests with internal marketing department and follow project through to final approval.  This includes marketing/PR needs, packaging, showrooms, POS and In-store visual/fixture needs, vendor guidelines and seasonal advertising requests.
  • Coordinate advertising samples for seasonal photo shoots, special projects and fashion presentations.
  • Monthly oversight of internal ecomm site as well as key online accounts to ensure licensed categories are showing up properly.

 

LICENSING ADMINISTRATION:

 

  • Support Licensing team with day-to-day requests and communications.
  • Ensure clear, timely and consistent communication between all licensees and Licensing Teams to support brand strategy.
  • Assist in preparation of business reviews, presentations, market recaps, bi-monthly selling information.
  • Maintain licensee and internal directories, door distribution lists, compliance approvals, seasonal line sheets and brand decks.
  • Assist in working with our internal customer service department and our licensees to resolve customer service issues.
  • Develop working relationship with DTC teams; follow up to see what is selling and what is not to aid future sales.
  • Publish quarterly Licensing Newsletter to all licensees and internal teams where applicable.
  • Share appropriate corporate communications with the licensees (new management hires, store openings, news stories, launches, etc).
  • Manage planning of annual Licensing Summit with Executive Assistant.  Includes managing budgets, creating materials for meeting, managing attendee lists and RSVPs.
  • Coordinate quarterly touch bases with cross-functional teams
  • Manage distribution of licensee discount cards.
  • Ensure visitors are registered in the security system.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

 

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent experience in a related business or brand.
  • 1+ year of administrative experience in a related business or brand.
  • Displays positive attitude, a professional manner and a willingness to assist multiple team members.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention-to-detail and sense of urgency.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to work with a highly talented group of individuals in an environment of growth and high standards, and a willingness to work hard and have fun.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Workfront, InDesign, Zoom.
