Primary purpose: Oversee financial planning and analysis for the north america off-price channels of business, and other corporate functions. This manager will play a critical role in managing these channels with emphasis on providing appropriate support to business partners, with thoughtful analysis and insights into business trends. Essential duties include monthly close, forecast and budgeting, as well as ad hoc decision support projects.

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in finance to...

  • provide weekly reporting on current business including key performance indicators (sometimes more frequent)
    • participate in key cross-functional meetings to report results and highlight areas of focus
  • manage monthly forecasts, long range plan, and annual operating plan processes for the north america outlet and surprise site P&Ls, and other corporate functions
    • full ownership of accurate financial forecast models; work with business partners accordingly
    • drive initiatives to streamline processes, maintain and improve upon existing financial models
    • work with business partners to identify P&L levers and cost savings opportunities
    • manage forecast of capital expenditures and related depreciation on a quarterly basis; accrue CIP as required
    • prepare timely presentations summarizing and explaining submissions and material changes to prior forecasts; manage risks and opportunities
  • direct monthly close processes for the north america outlet and surprise site P&Ls, and other corporate functions
    • work with business partners to ensure accurate presentation of financial data
    • timely review and analysis of P&L variances
    • oversee distribution of month end reporting to business partners
    • prepare documentation and schedules as required by auditors
    • review P&L and Balance Sheet for quarterly pre and post close meetings
  • complete ad-hoc projects and analysis as required

An outstanding professional will have...

  • bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business administration
  • 5 plus years’ experience
  • P&L budgeting / forecasting experience required, with an emphasis on building driver-based forecasts
  • working knowledge of GAAP is required
  • consumer products/retail (specifically store) experience strongly preferred
  • prior experience leading a team is preferred
  • must be proficient in excel and powerpoint
  • knowledge of SAP desirable
