Primary purpose: The copywriter at Kate Spade New York plays an important role in driving traffic and sales to our retail shops and website, as well as communicating our brand values and supporting global brand awareness, through words and wit. From emails to social media,product names to signage, the copywriter will partner with the other members of the editorial team to craft inspiring, on-brand content across all categories and channels.

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in copy to...

  • Write engaging copy that inspires and informs the customer across all touch points: digital, print, packaging, print, wholesale, and product naming/romance.
  • Bring seasonal merchandising and marketing initiatives to life through words and wit
  • Work closely with Senior Editorial Director and brand art directors to conceptualize ideas and strategies for digital campaigns and content.
  • Find ways to package brand content and editorial commerce in uniquely inspired ways that drive engagement and customer curiosity
  • Partner with the brand art director, marketing and creative marketing teams and merchants to execute content.

  • A broad liberal arts education or equivalent work experience. B.S. or B.A. in Journalism, English or Creative Writing preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a copywriter
