Job Title: Planning Manager, Outlet

Primary Purpose: having keen analytical insight to manage sales, margin and inventory forecasting while mitigating risk to drive sales growth for full price stores and ecommerce channels

 

 

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in planning to…

 

  • Manage monthly sales, margin and inventory re-forecasting by category, identifying risk and opportunities to achieve sales goals by category and channel. 
  • Analyze historical business trends on an on-going basis to understand business drivers, identify opportunities and risks, while partnering with key stakeholders to action appropriately. 
  • Manage weekly promotional event plans, partnering with buying to identify appropriate product discounts to achieve sales and margin goals. 
  • Review and approve seasonal markdowns, ensuring strategies are aligned to achieve sales and margin targets. 
  • Own seasonal purchase budget process, working cross functionally with buying and global planning to develop category and channel sales, margin and inventory plans aligning with business strategies. 
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative insights during business reviews, seasonal hindsight and seasonal investment reviews. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as global planning, store operations, outlet and wholesale, to optimize inventory management.
  • Manage weekly product reporting package for cross functional team. 
  • Run ad-hoc analysis when needed to provide clear conclusions and actionable next steps. 
  • Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes, systems and reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness.  

 

The accomplished individual will possess…

 

  • 5+ years of prior planning experience, especially in a vertical retail organization.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to multi-task effectively thru excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, sumif)

  • Experience using a planning system, with an aptitude to quickly learn system functionality.
