Primary Purpose: The Manager, Customer Insights plays a critical role in Kate spade’s customer centricity efforts. As a dual report into the Kate spade brand and Tapestry’s data & analytics team, this position is responsible for the creation of actionable customer insights, customer reporting and measurement. The goal of these activities is to advance the company’s knowledge of the customer and quantify the impact of our efforts against her.  The ideal candidate will possess a balance of analytical, technical and communication skills.



  • Design and implement customer reports, dashboards and presentations for the consumption of cross functional stakeholders
  •               Own test design and measurement for all CRM test and learn efforts
  •               Extract actionable insights through analyses of customer data. Translate analytical findings into concise and easily consumable outputs to support data driven decision making
  •               Partner with Tapestry’s data and analytics teams, applying learnings from Tapestry’s analytical community to Kate Spade
  •               Management of one data analyst
  • Apply consistent analytical approaches and methodologies across analyses
  • Ensure accuracy, quality and timeliness of deliverables


 Skills and Qualifications:

  •       Strong SQL (or other similar language) required
  • Proficiency with Tableau or other data visualization tools required
  • Experience in data mining and statistical packages such as R/Python preferred
  •  3-5 years of experience working in a direct to consumer business preferred
  • The ability to simplify complex concepts and easily understandable to partners outside of the analytics community.
  • Strong communication and data visualization skills i.e., translating complex concepts into layman’s terms and influence both peers and senior leadership
  • Highly organized and detail oriented 
  • Natural curiosity and passion for the power of customer insights
