Title: Assistant Manager, Digital Commerce (eCommerce)
Division: Kate spade Japan – Digital Commerce
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Digital Commerce
Location: Tokyo
Primary Purpose:
This role is responsible for Kate Spade Digital Commerce (KATESPADE.com and Rakuten Fashion KATESPADE store) sales drive in order to meet annual target, co-working with EC team Senior Manager (direct report) and Manager (co-worker). Based on KSJ GTM strategy, this role is
executing the on-site trading and merchandising for both direct and 3rd party platform. As a store management manager, this role is instrumental in ensuring online trading / merchandising KPIs are correctly set and continuously improved to meet digital commerce team’s mission and goals. It is also the responsibility of the role to ensure commercial platforms to reflect digital commerce team’s product and category strategy.
Key responsibilities:
eCommerce sales planning & execution
Sales drive in order to hit annual sales target with planning, executing, reporting, and analysis
- Drive all sales activities (sales campaigns and new launching etc) in order to hit annual sales target.
- Build sales planning (Rev, Unit, Traffic, CVR, and AOV) in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis along with GTM (Go to Market) strategy for KS.com and 3rd party platform.
- Sales tracking & analytics utilizing related BI tool (Cora, Tableau, Google analytics and APOLO etc)
- By monthly landing and by quarterly forecasting and submit to Finance.
Online campaigns & promotions
- Plan and execute online campaigns & promotions based on KS total GTM strategy aligning with internal stakeholders (MD, Finance and store channels etc).
- Track and analyze campaign performance and reporting.
Customer journey improvement and its execution
- Design customer journey and plan its improvement initiative based on site traffic performance data.
- Execution of the plan co working with digital team, IT team, and e commerce operation team.
- Daily basis optimization & executions synchronizing with Product launching, marketing campaigns, and sales campaigns activities co-working with e commerce operation team and creative agency.
Inventory management
- Track product receipt situation and manage stable shipment schedule co working with Allocation team, online release & shipment members.
- Monitoring inventory situation, plan and manage the fulfilment.
3rd Party account management
- Hold monthly meetings to share and align business plans.
- Daily corresponding with the 3rd party to deliver smooth business operations.
Candidate profile:
- Online business experience and knowledge of digital products such as CMS is required.
- Advanced knowledge of Web Analytics is required.
- Experience in BtoC is a must, experience in a similar industry is preferred.
- Native level of Japanese skills required
- Business level English communication skills: advanced writing must, verbal preferred
- Experience with project management, client relations, managing cross functional teams is plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field is preferred.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with growth mindset.
- Experience with achieving sales target or other KPI goals is required.
- Attention to detail, Customer perspective oriented, Creative thinker.

- Buying team, Allocation team, Finance team, Digital COE team, IT team, Marketing team and Store sales team (Regular & Outlet)
